Jai Marie

I am a professional web editor, designer, and writer.  I do design and photography projects under my Millennial Multimedia [M3] Designs moniker, and also have done work for universities, associations, publications, and other -ations.

Live music is my passion; you get a vibe from the stage that just doesn’t come through a set of speakers.  There is something about the give and take of a great live band and an engrossed audience that energizes me and gives me hope that music as we know it still has a fighting chance.  I love to people-watch, observing how fans, friends, hangers-on and musicians interact.  I also enjoy discovering new bands through support acts.  A good concert is one-stop shopping for nourishment of the music lover’s soul.

Traveling to get to some of these shows is half the adventure, and I do enjoy travel, both spur-of-the-moment and otherwise.  Right now I’ve found myself stationed in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which puts me within driving distance of some great live music cities: Kansas City, Dallas, St. Louis, among others.

That doesn’t mean I stick close to home.  My favorite city in the US is Chicago, in the world so far Berlin.  I grew up on the Great Lakes, so I love water; my favorite beach is Myrtle Beach.  And yes–every place I travel, I see a live show.

All in all, I’ve been lucky enough to have experiences that give me access to some pretty interesting people, both the lowest common denominator of society and some of the more unique gems.  I look forward to talking about them all, and that’s what you’re really here to read, right?  Good!  Then we’ll get along fabulously.  Welcome.

If your band or organization has a web site that’s in need of some serious TLC, I am available for consultation or contract work.  My focus is on utilizing Internet and online social media resources to their greatest benefit and helping bridge the technology gap between artists and their audiences.  Drop me an email, and we’ll talk.

Jai Marie
